Mudeford Week is a friendly, family oriented regatta aimed at the not too serious competitor and has a mixture of Series racing, fun races and a variety of social events to suit all ages and tastes. There is a “3-Lap” fleet for those who want the most racing possible, and a “2-Lap” fleet for everyone else. As a guide, the nominal dividing line between the fleets is the Laser 4.7, but helms may enter which fleet they wish. Juniors may have a 1-lap option for separate prizes.
All sailing takes place in the sheltered tidal waters of Christchurch Harbour, making this a safe week for juniors as well as adults.
The Clubhouse is a Dutch barge Vrouwe Johanna, moored by the shore of the Harbour, with racing taking place just off the Club and finishing by it, making it an ideal viewpoint for non-racing partners, friends and family. There is a galley on Vrouwe Johanna where hot and cold drinks and various snacks are available. Portable toilets will be located adjacent to the Club.
