We are terribly sorry: the picture at the bottom of the “Messing About” page is not of the authors of the piece on kayaking, but of the Troll and his wife enjoying a day out. Unfortunately, the picture is now embedded in the page and can’t be removed. The editor and all his staff sincerely apologise for this mistake and regret any possible slur on the good character and sober disposition of the authors.

The Troll did have some local fun, however...

A certain sailor lacked his battens 5 minutes before the start of Race 1, Harbour Challenge

And another was staggered to find the Troll on his daggerboard at the bottom mark.

The parrot had a torrid time at Mudeford Week this year and was kidnapped on Day 2.

But was discovered by the VW family on a day out at the Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum.
