Hi Everyone

What a fantastic evening we had at our prize-giving Dinner Dance at Highcliffe Castle Golf Club. The evening was hugely enjoyable in all respects. It was good to see so many there and those who could not make it through illness, bereavement, sailing commitments or other reasons were greatly missed. Good food, good company, great dancing and fabulous prizes! Mudeford sailing club knows how to have a good time. We hope to book the same venue next year. (on 27 November—Ed)

Congratulations to all who won prizes for sailing achievements through the year. Thank you to all who were awarded prizes for contributing to the club in other ways. (I am wondering how I am going to get hold of a much sought after Mudeford Sailing Club tea towel!) Vrouwe Johanna, our clubhouse, has been painted a splendid leprechaun green and has been protected from further rust on the outside. Thanks go to Peter Nicholson for overseeing this restoration project.

Through the winter, when there is little organised sailing, we need to look to restoring ourselves so we are fighting fit for the start of the new sailing season. So here’s to hoping to see you at "circuits" at 2 Riversmeet on a Wednesday evening, or for invigoration of a different sort, at The Working Mens’ Club on the first Friday of each month!
